A&E Ballroom
Studio Tea Dance - we are back -
Students and Guests meet every Sunday for some fun and dancing.
Enjoy about 100 minutes of open dance time. You will be able to practice all your dance moves with fellow students. Our DJ will have you change partners frequently to give you lots of practice with different partners. Let's have some social time in between, catch up with your fellow dancers and have some sweet refreshments.

The last Sunday of each month A&E Students and Guests meet at the Grand Ballroom of the of Matthews. We usually start out with a 50 - 60 minute workshop. A&E instructors will teach beginner to intermediate patterns for all skill level dancers. We will cover a wide variety of dances (swing, hustle, rumba, tango, waltz, etc.) During the break enjoy European style pastries, coffee and tea, followed by some great dancing on the 3000 SF dance floor. You will be able to practice all your dance moves with fellow students. Our DJ will have you change partners frequently to give you lots of practice with different partners.

Argentine Tango - Intermediate
We believe the Argentine Tango holds a unique place in couple dancing. The body is closer, more intimate than in any other dance form. Add to this vibrant mix the music - melancholy, ecstatic, growling, predatory, soaring, seeking, heartbreakingly beautiful and you have the ingredients for something more than a craze.
A&E's Argentine Tango dancers meet Thursday night to learn and practice new patterns and to fine-tune their style and technique of this uniquely romantic, exciting, sexy, and mesmerizing style of tango.
Other kinds of tango tend to be very bold and sharp and not as romantic.
In contrast, Argentine Tango can be soft and flowing as well as fast and exciting.
That's what makes Argentine Tango so appropriate for a dance of love at wedding receptions and other parties. It also explains why people will dance Argentine Tango all night long without the need to switch to other dances.
